Grand Island, Nebraska is on the old Lincoln Highway, half way to everywhere in the Continental United States - best known for the first concrete paved stretch of rural road built in 1915, it was called the "Seedling Mile" some of the best old motels and roadside attractions can be found on the old Lincoln Highway.
