Enjoy an eye-popping gander at the fantastic North American roadside motels of the 1950s, 60s and 70s. I am an accumulator of motel postcards, and I've made it my life's work to share them with you here.

The Rainbow Inn - El Cajon, CA
Ugh. I feel hot and greasy already. I do like that the motel features a "package liquor store", though.
I used to go to the Rainbow Inn with my grandmother when I was a little girl. It was located on El Cajon Blvd going toward the town of El Cajon on left hand side. across the street was a bar named Ann's Place. I'm going from memory the best I can. I am now 70.
Is there an address or specific location of this motel. I live in El Cajon and am curious as to where it was.

ReplyDeleteI haven't been to El Cajon in many years. I wonder if the Rainbow Inn is still there ?
